CSLB Issues Decision to "Revoke" Deck Tech's License!

Revocation Stayed
Instead DeckTech is On a Three Year Probation Period
Probation Begin's July 10, 2017

Scroll down through our other posts on this for the full background on the case.

DeckTech has narrowly escaped having their license actually suspended or revoked after a 3 plus year process that started with a complaint to CSLB about their workmanship & ended last Friday with the issuance of a final order by CSLB.  Deck tech's license was "revoked", however

DeckTech's  license revocation is stayed while they go through a three year probation period where a probation monitor will be assigned to oversee Decktech. According to a CSLB document, probation monitors perform a variety of duties keeping an eye on  licensees who have harmed the public like Decktech has been found to have.

While not as good news as hoped for, this isn't bad either.

Decktech has a list of things they must comply with according to the Registrar of Contractors David Foght's order/decision.

Three Years of Probation CSLB shall monitor DeckTech  via a "probation monitor"  who may request to view documents of Deck tech's

I'm told that quarterly reports are required to be filed by most probationary licenses so this may be no different. O

Consumers who believe that they have been harmed by DeckTech are urged to come forward immediately to CSLB. Once I have the probation monitors information, I will post it here. I will also ask what information is pertinent, how we can reach them etc.

The probation monitor can, if they receive enough convincing evidence, order the matter back to a hearing for revocation of DeckTech's  license. Let's not let this 3 year window go by...

The Decktech deck inspection report and any contracts you may have from them is of great interest to us and to CSLB! Send them to us at Bill Leys PO Box 14438 San Luis Obispo CA 93406 or by email to slodeckinspector@gmail.com
I can look at it and tell you if it appears that it violates CSLB requirements.
Have us look over your estimate! We've saved homeowners over $300,000.00 so far
by not contracting with Decktech!
